All of the tier 3 House of Thule zones work here, but I like Fear Itself since it's mostly just a revamped Plane of Fear, which I have fond memories of dying in. If you have access to it, the TBM Crypt-Hunter gear is comparable to every expansions group gear until 105 and you can upgrade it with augments so that it levels with you in 5 level blocks. It isn't the fastest ever, but the money is pretty great and there is rarely anyone here on live. The gear isn't great but you will be earning so many Marks that you will be able to outfit yourself completely very very easily every 5 levels. RUN EVERYONE INDIVIDUALLY OR CALL OF HERO THEM IF YOU HAVE A MAGE. Worth about half a level in that range. Although inadvertently getting trained is a risk youre going to take if youre afk; regardless of what xp zone youre in. Giving out the daily HA tasks? Watch out for the nameds. This zone is also a hot zone some times so it can go even faster than it already is. The Droga area is super nice for rangers as the goblins are headshotable. This is a picture of the window you'll see when first purchasing a Mercenary. Neriak Fourth Gate (accessed off Neriak Third Gate or from ETWK if you've done attunement) - One of my favorite zones for grinding these levels out. Also, once the room is broken, stand closer to the back wall of the room rather than the hallway. Just be kind and patient. They come in 2 flavors: Apprentice and Journeyman, each with 5 ranks. Pretty much every single thing in The Grounds wants to eat your face, so there is less confusion and thus it's more popular. At first, just wait. Stay near the zone lines until 85, then push out. Pretty much all the critters assist each other though. If you aren't saving for something in particular, consider taking these. Healer mercs also have a few extra perks, what I mean by this is rezzing and buffing! Don't accidently attack Lhranc if you see him. Wall of Slaughter (64-68)(Guild Hall>Buy Chipped Shard of Slaughter>TP to Wall of Slaughter) - Even with this not being a Hot Zone anymore, in this level range with a group this place is pretty great experience. Loot isn't spectacular but with a decent group, you will shred mobs and the exp will flow like water. I prefer to stay out of the fields if at all possible. 28-35 Kaesora(PoK>Field of Bones>Kaesora) - I think this is a pretty great zone to get a few levels in. BEST (90-96): Valley of Lunanyn (Guild Hall>Buy Chunk of Argathian Steel>TP to Argath, Bastion of Illdaera>Valley of Lunanyn) - I sincerely hate that this is still true, but the Valley is still hard to beat in this range mostly because of the unique way the zone is setup. Valdeholm (PoK>Blightfire>Goru'Kar>The Steppes>Icefall Glaciar>Valdeholm) - I absolutely love this place for these levels. The money here is ridiculous. Your Mercenary can come in two skill levels Skill Levels Apprentice - on par with single group geared players, on spells and abilities that have a rank, it will have rank 1. The lower level ones spawn outside their cave, with higher level ones as you move back. Then drop down via the waterways near the entrance to get to the tunnels and kill there until about 56. Their levels and abilities will scale appropriately and they will think and act for themselves with limited player guidance. You never have to upgrade your Mercenary, he will level with you. Own the Kunark Ascending expansion, which also allows the mercenaries to be trained and equipped with stat gear. Third, get yourself maps immediately. Lots of undead for your friendly neighborhood paladins as well. There are three total HAs he will give you. This is a guide dedicated to leveling your character automatically while either fully AFK or partially AFK. Inside the city, the Alarans come in groups of two or three or solo. When actively playing, your group should be able to easily clear all three rooms plus the solo pulls nearby. The exp here is good. After that though it's single pulls non stop. Look at my map in comparison to your map to see the location. Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts. At no point do I stop for AA's until I am level 110, so there will be no notation about AA grinding. I was wondering if anyone knew of any AFK XP guides using 3 mercs besides this one: just where ever you pick be careful people still report for that. A: Where it shows your vitals aka Health, Mana, Energy. The mob level goes up to 92-94. To top it all off, it's also a hot zone!! Your tank merc can solo any reds from levels 1-60. Journeyman is an order of magnitude better than Apprentice and is only available to people who pay for Everquest. Resplendent Temple is awful in my opinion, with it being nearly impossible to pull singles, and Pillars of Alra is hard to get to (you have to run through a lot of angry Alarins who can see invis in Resplendent Temple) and easy to get yourself killed in, for much the same reason. I know there are a LOT of mobs you can access off this area, but have no idea what nameds if any are common here. So finding a camp could be tough depending on your chosen servers population and the hour of day. Thank you! EverQuest Leveling Zones - 1-15 They can take a long time, but with a little research and experience you can get the times down on her missions as well. Paladins can start swarming around 83 with impunity and shredding through these guys to about 85. J5 mercs are far better, can take harder hits, heal bigger, and hit harder. A NOTE ON MERCS: At 75, you can do the Korascian Warrens progression. While I didnt test this strategy in The Bloodfields, I think that zone also has a fast respawn rate of 10 minutes and 40 seconds, so this strategy should also work there if you can find a similar camp. I normally just wander here, murdering the Cthulian nightmares that abound. Everything is gnomes, constructs, slimes, minotaurs, and elementals. You can actually come here about 60-61 and kill in the area around the zone in/out. The boost they provide isn't significant but it is really nice and certainly speeds up the lower levels. Unless you can split pull or mez, you will be fighting two or more mobs on most pulls until you break the spawns up. I recommend you donate to him for his grinding guides as well. if your merc adds about 20% damage to your party then your exp will be about 60% of what it could have been solo. This is the only stance a Rogue merc will attack on. The mobs are around level 28-29, so it's a lot of exp for your level. Kill all of it. A: Oh yes he did!
