Finally got the opportunity start shooting it but when it came to barrel break in (the merits of which are well-debated) I decided I would do it but also do a little test while cleaning. While I have not owned a Seekins barrel, I have owned several after-market barrels and have used a break-in procedure described on the McGowen page at: https://mcgowenbarrel.com/barrel-break-in-procedure/. Hard decisions when you gotta stretch the extra change for all its worth. The cookie is created when the JavaScript library executes and there are no existing __utma cookies. Follow with dry patches until they come out clean and dry. My take on barrel break-in and general precision rifle cleaning. Plan on shooting it next weekend and didn't see anywhere in the Seekins manual where they recommend any type of barrel break-in.
